Andrew (A.J.) Thut is a highly accomplished trial attorney who has spent more than a decade advocating for individuals and families whose lives have been permanently altered by negligence. Over the course of his career, A.J. has secured numerous multi-million-dollar verdicts and settlements in complex, high-stakes cases involving medical malpractice, nursing home neglect, wrongful death, and catastrophic personal injury.
A.J. has dedicated his practice to representing injured clients against hospitals, healthcare providers, nursing homes, trucking companies, and corporate defendants. After nearly 13 years of practicing at a preeminent personal injury firm in Chicago, A.J. partnered with his father, a long-time Lake County attorney, to open the Chicago office of Thut Law Group, LLC. He earned his Juris Doctor from Loyola University Chicago School of Law and his undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Born and raised in Chicago’s northwest suburbs, A.J. returned to the area to raise his own family. Outside the courtroom, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, traveling, and playing golf.
